Are accident towing fees capped?
In NSW the maximum for a standard accident tow is $246 for the first 10km plus a regulated per-kilometre rate. Queensland caps crash tows at $369.30 for the first 50km. Breakdown towing is not capped.
Does my insurance or roadside assist cover towing?
Comprehensive policies usually cover accident tows to a repairer. Roadside assist memberships cover breakdown tows up to a distance limit, so check yours before paying cash.
